Welcome to Spoken Word Bible Church in Harrismith, Free State, South Africa. The Lord had led Pastor Rudy and Yolandi in June of 2011 to leave Johannesburg and move to Harrismith to teach the people of this beautiful town the uncompromised Word of God. The Church started as a mere Bible study in 2012 with 3 people in Pastor Rudy and Yolandi’s living room on a Wednesday night. However it began to grow on a weekly basis to the point where they started having Sunday morning meetings on the 5th of February 2012 on a farm, known as The Oaks Farm, which is 12.6 kilometres outside of the town of Harrismith. The Church began to grow on a weekly basis to the point where six months later it was decided that the Church would be more effective if it moved into the town of Harrismith itself.
WHAT WE BELIEVE:
At Spoken Word Bible Church, we understand that God wants every Believer to grow so that they can fulfill the call of God that is on their lives and take their rightful place in the body of Christ to build His kingdom.
God wants us to grow and become mature, so that we can walk in the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13.) That is why Pastor Rudy places a huge emphasis on the teaching of the Word of God because it is by the hearing and the application of the Word that Christians can grow and fulfil their full potential in Christ Jesus.
As we grow and mature in God, a natural reaction is to start using the gifts that God has given us to serve others and change the state of our towns, cities, nation and then spilling over to other nations. Thereby fulfilling the Great Commission, given to us by the Lord, Head, General and Advocate of the Church, Jesus Christ.
